🚶♀️ Where We Start
We meet outside Waitrose at Basing View. Your walk leader will be there with a smile, ready to guide the group.
🕒 Walk Directions & Timings
0–5 Minutes: Leaving Waitrose - Start at the main entrance, Walk towards Basing View Boulevard, Follow the pavement towards town, Keep going straight until you reach the pedestrian crossing
5–10 Minutes: Heading to Eastrop Park- Cross safely using the crossings, Walk towards Eastrop Follow the signs into the park, Enter near the boating lake
10–25 Minutes: The Eastrop Park Loop - We will walk past: The boating lake, Ducks, swans, and geese, Open lawns and mature trees, A children’s play area, The café (if open), Keep the water mostly on our left as we loop around.
25–35 Minutes: The Quiet Riverside Path - Follow the riverside path, Explore the quieter eastern side, Walk through open grassy areas, Loop back towards the lake
35–45 Minutes: Returning to Waitrose - Leave the park the same way we came in, Cross the roads, Walk back through Basing View, Finish at Waitrose
